Oral-maxillofacial surgeon earns accreditation

Dr. Bradley Pinker, an oral and facial surgeon, was recently awarded a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons accreditation.

He practices with Florida Oral & Facial Surgical Associates, which has offices in Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach and Palm Coast.

The F.A.C.S is bestowed upon top surgeons dedicated to improving the care of their patients and safeguarding standards of care in an optimal and ethical practice environment.

Dr. Pinker earned his doctor of medicine from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed a general surgery internship.

Chambers celebrate baker opening

The Daytona Regional and the Ormond Beach chambers of commerce will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebration from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, for Nothing Bundt Cakes in Suite 6 at 1425 W. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach.

Chamber’s annual meeting

The Southeast Volusia Chamber of Commerce will host its annual meeting at 5 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 6, at the Brannon Center, 105 S. Riverside Drive, New Smyrna Beach.

The meeting will include installation of 2023 board members, business awards and Crystal Apple Awards.

Volusia/Flagler SHRM’s 25th Anniversary Gala

The Volusia/Flagler Society for Human Resource Management has updated the date and venue for its 25th Anniversary Gala.

The event will be from 6 to 11 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at The Hard Rock Hotel at 918 N. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach.

The event includes a cocktail hour, plated meal, dessert, cash bar, photo booth, DJ, dancing, champagne toast, red carpet entrance and networking opportunities.

The City of DeLand, through the MainStreet DeLand Association, is now accepting applications for the Downtown Grant Program.

The grants are designed to encourage building improvements within the downtown redevelopment area. Also, contingent upon funding, the city provides a Gateway Grant Program.
