Xiaomi is king of the smartband space with the Mi Smart Band series, and Samsung wants to take some of its pie. At least in theory, as the oft-leaked Galaxy Fit3 is still not official. While we’ve heard rumors about it in 2022, things started to pick up last November, so hopefully this means the launch is near, rather than far.
Today the Galaxy Fit3 has been leaked yet again, this time by Samsung itself – someone posted these images by accident, ahead of schedule, to a regional Samsung website.
The Fit2 was launched in 2020, and so the Fit3 is way overdue. It will thankfully have a much larger screen than its predecessor, which it needs if it truly wants to compete with Xiaomi in this space.
The Fit3 comes with a quick release mechanism for effortlessly swapping out bands. According to previously leaked information, it will sport a 1.61″ screen, and will weigh 21g. It’s made from aluminum and will be offered in gray, silver, and pink gold case options.
As you’d expect, it will feature heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, and a myriad of other sport-related stuff. It’s said to endure 13 days on a single charge from its 200 mAh battery, and it will have 5W charging support.
