Introduction
Xiaomi just took the wrapping off of the Mix Flip and Mix Fold 4. The two new foldables are full of innovation and every bit the true flagships, running on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
These are the company’s slimmest and lightest foldables to date, with surprisingly powerful hardware on the inside, including big batteries and capable camera setups. Here are some quick specs rundowns for both devices to start off.

The Xiaomi Mix Flip is available in three memory versions – 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB that will retail for CNY 5,999 ($825/€758), CNY 6,499 ($894/€821) and CNY 7,299 ($1,004/€922), respectively.
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 is also available in three memory variants – 12GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB that will retail for CNY 8,999 ($1,238/€1,137), CNY 9,999 ($1,375/€1,263) and CNY 10,999 ($1,513/€1,390), on the home market, respectively.
Though nothing has been confirmed yet, these two models have better chances of going international than their predecessors. Obviously, if they do, pricing will be different, but even so the foldable market desperately needs more competition and these two seem ready to mount a serious challange.
We were present at the Beijing Xiaomi launch event and have already spent some time with both new foldables. Read on to the following pages for some of our initial impressions.
