ABC has revealed its 2026 mid-season lineup, featuring the return of The Rookie and Will Trent, along with the highly anticipated revival of Scrubs.
New episodes begin Sunday, January 4, when all of the scripted shows from this fall’s slate return — including the Thursday night block of 9‑1‑1, 9‑1‑1: Nashville and Grey’s Anatomy.
Also returning is High Potential, which is shifting to an earlier hour and will air between Will Trent (Season 4) and The Rookie (Season 8).
-Will Trent’s premiere episode is directed by its star Ramón Rodríguez.
-Early footage from The Rookie indicates the team heads overseas right at the season opener.
-Scrubs will join Wednesday nights alongside Abbott Elementary after the wrap of Shifting Gears’s 13-episode second run. The new season will launch with a two-episode premiere on Wednesday, February 25.
