Talking Texas gardens with Skip Richter and on Bird Hugger podcast

If you enjoy gardening shows and podcasts, I invite you to check out two that I’m on this week.

First up is Skip Richter’s KTRH radio show, GardenLine with Skip Richter, broadcasting from Houston. Skip is an esteemed horticulturist, educator, and garden writer, and I was delighted to be invited onto his live show Sunday morning to chat about my book Gardens of Texas. You can listen to that interview in podcast form; my segment starts at the 1:27:30 mark and ends at 1:59:07.

I’m also on the Bird Hugger Podcast, talking about sustainable gardening across the Lone Star State with Texas-curious host Catherine Greenleaf of New Hampshire. Catherine is a former gardening columnist for the Boston Herald Sunday Magazine and a certified wildlife rehabilitator. She has a special interest in gardening for birds, and she asked me about birds I’ve seen in my garden. I ticked off mockingbirds, finches, hummingbirds, and mourning doves, but can you believe I forgot to mention the screech owls I love to watch?

Take a listen during your next commute, workout, or meal prep, and enjoy the conversations!

A favor to ask…

But before you go, I have a favor to ask. I’d like to reach my goal of 25 reviews on Amazon for Gardens of Texas before the end of the year. If you’ve read it or even just paged through the pictures, would you please take a moment to share your impressions in a review? You need not have purchased the book from Amazon to review it there, but those reviews count for so much visibility for books. Just a few words saying what readers might get out of it, or selecting a star rating, helps with getting the book seen. Thank you so much!
